I was chatting to Ralph Manning who graduated 2010 the other day about LIMBO and illustration in relation to games in general. he works designing interfaces for Tablets and smart phones so it was goo dto pick his brains on this one. Hope he wont mind me quoting him here as he passed on a few useful links and insights.
" http://lesscode.co.nz/interface is an example of a prototyping tool, some get a bit more complicated to set up. there's some cool apps with alot of illustration in them out thereustwo is soon releasing Whale Trail which plays a bit like Tiny wings. Oh, I LOVE LIMBO. Was waiting patiently for it to come to PS3. I really like indie gaming. I'm a big fan of 'ThatGameCompany' who did FlOw, Flower and the soon-to-be-released 'Journey'.
There's an iPhone game called Sr. Mistu, with all hand drawn element. http://srmistu.com/#features
Also, Did you see The Mill's custom touchscreen display for their body of work. Very cool:http://www.themill.com/work/mill-touch/behind-the-scenes.aspx "
